The Journey In Progress

Hello everyone!! I just wanted to take a quick minute to update you on what is going on!  It is my sixth day here in Belize and it has been absolutely AMAZING!  We have done everything from painting basketball goals to handing out rice bags and clothing in villages! I have been so blessed to be able to meet new people here and see some old friends from previous trips!  The past 4 days of preparing for sports camp next week have gone so well and we are SO excited to get started! It is going to be great next week to see how all the hard work and time spent on all of our projects pays off! The kids are super excited and so are we! We have wifi here so I will try to keep posting throughout the trip! Thank you so much for all of your encouragement and prayers! Until next time!

IT IS HERE!

Well friends, I am BEYOND excited to say that i will be packing up the car and driving to columbia in about 2 hours to begin my journey to Belize! I will arrive in Belize City at 11:22 AM! The Lord has given me AMAZING opportunities in order to open up the doors to chances like this in my life.  Please be praying for the safety of the interns, team members, and local people... Pray that God will do AMAZING works in all of our hearts, and that we will be joyful, caring, encouraging, and helpful at all times during the trip!  I will try my best to keep everyone posted on what we are doing! This first week we will be going into villages to advertise our sports camp and we will tutor and do some construction work in the afternoons... Then the second week we will have a team come in and we will be running two separate sports camps (by age) for about 500 kids! Some of these kids have heard the gospel before, but most of them NEVER have! Its strange to imagine never hearing anything about Christ... We are so blessed to be surrounded with the gospel here and to have churches and bibles at our fingertips... Please pray that the children will have open ears and open hearts, and even if they don't make a decision about Christ, pray that we will plant a seed in their hearts. Feel free to comment on here or send me an email or Facebook message! Id love to know you are keeping up with the trip! I will reply as soon as I can! Until next time!  -Lizzie

Well friends and family, right now I am looking into a trip to Belize at the end of June.. The Lord has really put a burden on my heart for Belize over the last year and I am happy to say this would be my fourth trip to my favorite Central American country :) But like every choice in life, the decision to go comes along with a lot of prayer and support so that I know it is Gods plan for me and not my own to spend those two weeks in Belize.  So, if you could keep me and my trip in your prayers I would appreciate it greatly!
if you were to die tonight, what would you have accomplished? all the parties, drinking, smoking, perfection, one nighters, cruelty, jealousy.. none of it will mean anything. so what do you have to show for your life? do you have anything else other than a facebook profile and text messages in your phone? have you lived a life worth telling stories for years to come? have you made a change in the world? or have you just lived an ordinary life that is "worthy" of the worlds low standards? be the change. make a difference. live a life worth sharing.
